PRINCIPAL`S MESSAGE

Dear School Community,

It is my great pleasure to write for the first edition of the school e-newsletter for 2021. My name is Adem Engin and I am very excited to introduce myself as the new campus principal.

It is my sixth year at Sirius College, with the last five years being at the Shepparton campus. I always feel honoured to work at Sirius College with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff and a supportive school community.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new and existing families into another great school year. I hope that you have enjoyed a relaxing summer with fun and happy memories with your loved ones. We are all excited to have our students back to school, full of energy and enthusiasm for learning.

As stated in our school mission, we are here to empower students to become critical thinkers and socially responsible individuals, motivated by moral values and a belief in tolerance, diversity and harmony.

Throughout the year we aim to organize everything around this mission.

We are almost in the middle of Term One and I am delighted to observe how the students have settled so quickly into their learning programs and routines, despite the recent snap lockdown. I encourage everyone to be involved in every way possible, because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students.

Over the past few weeks, I also have had a chance to meet some of our existing and new families and I am looking forward to meeting you all.

On behalf of Sirius College staff, I would like to thank you for entrusting us with your children. In return, we promise to do our very best to teach them, make learning exciting, and keep them safe.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Adem Engin
Principal
